MediCache First Aid Training
Course Information, Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing MediCache Limited.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all public courses, private workplace training and NZQA-approved first aid programmes delivered by MediCache Limited. By booking a course, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Bookings and Payment
Course bookings are confirmed once payment has been received or alternative payment arrangements have been agreed in writing.

Individual enrolments are generally payable at the time of booking.

Employer-sponsored training will be invoiced following course completion unless otherwise agreed.

Prices include or exclude GST as advertised.

Course fees are those current at the time the booking is confirmed.
Enrolment Requirements
Participants may be required to provide:

Full legal name
-
Contact details
-
Date of birth
-
NZQA learner information (where applicable)
-
Evidence of eligibility for refresher courses
-
Identification where required
Some courses have prerequisite requirements which must be met before attendance.
Transfers, Cancellations and Refunds
Participants may transfer or cancel their enrolment by notifying MediCache in writing.

Maximum one transfer per booking

Transfer must occur within 30 days unless approved otherwise

Administration fee may apply
Refunds

21–30 days 75%
11–20 days 50%
6–10 days 25%
Less than 5 days No refund
No refund or transfer is available for non-attendance.
Participant substitutions are permitted provided MediCache is notified before the course commences.
Private Workplace Courses
Private workplace courses are based on minimum participant numbers.
Where participant numbers reduce below the agreed minimum, the quoted minimum course charge may still apply.
Course Cancellation by MediCache
Occasionally MediCache may need to postpone or cancel training due to circumstances beyond our control, including:

Trainer illness
-
Severe weather
-
Venue issues
-
Civil emergencies
-
Insufficient enrolments
Where this occurs we will offer:
-
an alternative course date; or
-
a full refund of course fees paid.
MediCache is not responsible for travel, accommodation, childcare or other consequential costs.
Attendance Requirements
Participants are expected to:
-
Arrive before the advertised start time.
-
Attend the entire course.
-
Participate fully in practical activities.
-
Follow trainer instructions at all times.
Late arrivals may not be admitted where learning outcomes or NZQA requirements cannot be achieved.
Fitness to Participate
First aid training involves practical activities including CPR performed on the floor, casualty handling and simulated emergency scenarios.
Participants should advise MediCache before the course if they have:

medical conditions
-
injuries
-
disabilities
-
learning support needs
Reasonable accommodations will be made wherever practicable.
Assessment and Certification
Assessment is conducted in accordance with NZQA requirements.
To receive certification participants must:
-
complete all required training
-
successfully demonstrate practical competence
-
successfully complete all required assessments
NZQA credits (where applicable) will be reported following successful completion.
Student Conduct
All participants are expected to contribute to a safe, respectful and professional learning environment.
Participants must:
-
treat others respectfully
-
follow all health and safety instructions
-
use equipment appropriately
-
participate honestly in assessments
-
comply with trainer directions
MediCache reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour compromises the safety or learning of others.
Examples include:
-
aggressive or abusive behaviour
-
harassment
-
cheating
-
damage to equipment
-
attending under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Health and Safety
Safety is integrated into every MediCache course.
Participants must:
-
comply with all safety instructions
-
immediately report hazards or injuries
-
use equipment safely
-
wear appropriate clothing and footwear where required
Language Requirements
Training and assessment are conducted in English.
Participants must possess sufficient English language skills to safely participate and successfully complete assessment requirements.
Privacy
MediCache collects personal information for:

enrolment
-
training delivery
-
assessment
-
certification
-
NZQA reporting
-
administrative purposes
Information is managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and is not shared for marketing without consent.
Complaints and Appeals
MediCache is committed to resolving complaints fairly, confidentially and promptly.
Where concerns cannot be resolved internally, learners may access independent external dispute resolution through:

Participants also have the right to appeal academic or administrative decisions in accordance with MediCache's Appeals Policy.
Intellectual Property
All MediCache training materials, manuals, presentations, videos and assessment resources remain the intellectual property of MediCache Limited and may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without written permission.
Consumer Guarantees Act
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable New Zealand legislation.
