About MediCache
YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE
MediCache provides first aid training, first aid systems, and health and safety support for workplaces across New Zealand.
Based in Taupō, we work with organisations of all sizes and across a wide range of industries, delivering practical, considered solutions that fit how people actually operate. Our focus is on clear instruction, appropriate equipment, and support that extends beyond a single course or compliance requirement.
We tailor our training and systems to suit different environments, risks, and team needs, while maintaining NZQA-approved standards and regulatory requirements. This ensures organisations are not only compliant, but supported with training and equipment that is relevant and usable.
At MediCache, we take a systems-based approach to safety, recognising that effective response relies on more than a certificate or a kit. Training, equipment, follow-up, and ongoing support all matter. Our role is to bring those pieces together in a way that is practical, reliable, and sustainable for the workplaces we support.

Meet the team

Travis Nightingale
Founder / Director
Travis Nightingale is the Founder and Director of MediCache, delivering NZQA-approved first aid training, first aid systems, and health and safety support to organisations across New Zealand.
Travis brings close to 20 years of frontline emergency services and national training experience, spanning policing, counter-terrorism, specialist bomb response, firefighting, and instructional leadership. His career has included operational roles with the Australian Federal Police, Western Australia Police Force, and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, alongside senior instructional and assessor roles within fire and emergency service academies.
In more recent years, Travis has worked at a national level with Fire and Emergency New Zealand as a Learning Development Advisor and Learning Quality Advisor, leading quality assurance, moderation, programme development, and skill standard reviews across complex training and assessment systems. This work has focused on ensuring learning and assessment are fair, valid, operationally relevant, and genuinely reflective of real capability - not just compliance.
Unlike many providers, Travis has worked on both sides of the system: as a frontline responder operating under pressure, and as a senior advisor responsible for learning design, assessment integrity, and national consistency. That perspective underpins MediCache’s approach - practical training, fit-for-purpose systems, and support that recognises the realities faced by first aiders and workplaces alike.
Clients value Travis’s calm, considered approach, his ability to translate complex risk into practical action, and his focus on building capability that holds up when it matters.
Based in Taupō, Travis supports organisations locally and nationwide.
